I had an amazing experience at Maximilian! The personal touch from the owner, Gabi, made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. She even went above and beyond by offering to pack sandwiches for another couple who had an early morning checkout. The rooms were comfortable, with a balcony that had a stunning view of the Ehrenberg Ruins. The location was perfect for exploring the castles and surrounding hiking areas. The hotel had a cozy, bed and breakfast feel, and the staff was always helpful with directions and recommendations. I highly recommend this place for a memorable stay.

The owner (I assume the person who greeted us when we registered was the owner) was helpful, pleasant, and most accommodating. Even with a wedding party at the Hotel, she and the staff took care of our needs with efficiency and pleasantness. The breakfast was more than sufficient and good variety to choose from. Our room was very clean and view from window was great. Location was excellent with wonderful view of mountain area.

The hotel is situated in a picturesque location in amongst beautiful rolling mountains, offering breathtaking views. The rooms, some with a beautiful balcony view, were clean and comfortable, providing a great base for exploring the surrounding area. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, ensuring a pleasant stay. Additionally, the breakfast served onsite was delicious, with a wide variety of options to choose from.

The ownership and staff (and location) at hotel maximilian was the most warm and hospitable of our entire 1 week stay in germany and austria - we should have stayed there at least 2 nights.

The hotel is a little out of the way, but thats what we wanted. Great for folks with cars. It is easy to reach all the Bavarian sites, with the opportunity to be just outside the tourist traps. Perfect or us!

This was a perfect place for families, with amenities specifically designed for kids. Finally, the breakfast served onsite was delicious, providing a variety of options to start the day off right.

We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Maximilian! The owners and staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, giving us great sightseeing advice. The location of the hotel is perfect, nestled in a beautiful river valley between mountains and ruined castles. Our room was comfortable with a stunning view of a field with cows and mountains. The breakfast was delicious and substantial, and the in-house restaurant served excellent dinners. The hotel is also great for families, with a playroom and play area for kids. a perfect base for exploring the area!

The staff was incredible. They were very friendly and warm and it made the experience our best hotel stay of our trip -- outdoing other hotels that cost twice as much for cold service.

It was very full when we went. The restaurant was very busy so the food took a very long time. However, the food was very good and they were very kind and appropriately apologetic about the delay.

The staff was fantastic and helped with our sight seeing and planning our day. Food at the resturaunt was so good we ate there twice at night. Breakfast was included and was as better than what we had elsewhere on our trip. Would recommend Hotel Maximillan as an excellent base for all the attractions in this area.

We had a fantastic experience in a charming hotel nestled in a beautiful valley with stunning mountain views. The location was perfect, central to all of the typical tourist attractions and very close to many historical attractions. Our room was spacious and had a lovely view of the garden. The staff was extremely helpful and treated us like part of their family. The breakfast was delicious with a great variety of options. We also enjoyed the activities card, which allowed us to explore and relax in the nearby gondola and public pool.

The shower in our room was rather small.
